Fourth graders at Dewar Elementary had a wheel-y great time during our Fractions Pizza Room Transformation Day!
Students reviewed important fraction skills to get ready for their upcoming assessment, all while solving pizza-themed problems, working together, and showing off some seriously sharp math thinking. From halves to wholes, they proved they can handle every slice that comes their way!
These students truly rose to the occasion and gave it everything they had. We’re so proud of their hard work and positive attitudes. Math like this is always a big dill… wait, wrong topping 😉🍕

Mrs. Daniels' 3rd-grade students have been reading and learning about how characters in a story have different perspectives or ways of looking at the story’s events. We sketched how Rabbit and Coyote’s actions reveal their point of view:)

A Pine Grove Middle School cheer interest meeting will take place on Monday, February 23, at 4:00 PM in the STEM Lab. Please note that parent/guardian attendance is required in order for students to be eligible for tryouts. If a parent/guardian is unable to attend, please contact Ms. Taniya Johnson (taniyajohnson@lowndes.k12.ga.us) via email no later than Friday, February 20.
This meeting is for anyone interested in sideline cheer. The tryouts are for combined football and basketball cheer. There will be no separate tryouts.

Teachers engaged in meaningful research, discussion, and reflection through a myth vs. reality activity, exploring DuFour’s three big ideas of PLCs, and watching a video of a PLC meeting in action noting practices that felt familiar to their own collaborative work and other key elements that stood out to them!
We’re proud of our teachers’ commitment to learning together so we can continue growing and supporting every student!
