
The PGM Military Club had an amazing learning excursion to Macon. First, they watched a Macon Mayhem hockey game packed with great STEM lessons. Then they experienced some Georgia history with a hike at the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historic Park. 🏒🌳 #STEM

6th grade ELA students have been practicing their argumentative writing skills by preparing for and holding mock trials of fairy tale characters! Students and teachers played the roles of plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses, judges, and more after gathering evidence from stories to support each side of the case. ⚖️

PGM Sources of Strength showed GRATITUDE to some of the unsung heroes of the school. The students gifted new SOS 1Lowndes shirts to our front office workers, nutrition staff, custodians, academic coaches, CPIE liaisons, administration, nurse, and SRO. On Saturday, PGM hosted a chess tournament with the Lowndes Middle chess club. Congrats to Cooper B. for winning 1st place and Gavin H. for bringing home the 2nd place trophy. A great time was had by all budding chess masters! ♟️





Mr. Young captured these wonderful pictures from the lunar eclipse through his telescope this morning! March's full moon is called a Worm Moon, so this eclipse is called a Blood "Worm" Moon. The eclipse reached totality around 3 AM Friday morning. 🌕🔭 #STEM #LunarEclipse

How can we mitigate the effects of the spread of invasive species on local ecosystems after Hurricane Helene? 7th grade kicked off their PBL exploring this question with visits from two guest speakers on Friday. Clint Hon from Grand Bay Wetlands Education Center and Jim Page from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources shared information on native and invasive species found in our area. We appreciate these community partners coming out to teach our students! 🌀 🐟 🐊 🌱 #STEM #PBL











PGM students stepped back in time to explore the science behind history on a STEM field trip Saturday! Through hands-on activities, they dove into aerodynamics, cryptography, medical innovations, and engineering feats, gaining a deeper understanding of how technology played a critical role in the success of the Air Force during WWII. By experiencing these innovations firsthand, they connected with the past in a whole new way. #STEM #HistoryInTheMaking #EighthAirForce











On Friday, PGM’s EPIC classes hosted a celebration for Black History Month. Their students, partnered with students from various social studies classes, created some wonderful presentations!
