Mrs. Justice’s classes worked in small groups yesterday to analyze a text about a mysterious stolen gem, focusing on the author’s purpose, intended audience, and writing techniques. ✏️📖💎

Minecraft Club met for the first time this week! Students were challenged to construct two story virtual building models while demonstrating their skills on timed modes using teamwork and collaboration strategies. 🎮

In remembrance of 9/11, the PGM Military Club continued their tradition of posting a poster exhibit which shares many stories about the event and its aftermath. Many social studies classes will visit the exhibit tomorrow. 🇺🇸




7th grade life science students investigated the chemical processes associated with photosynthesis. They used colorful candy pieces to model the various chemicals that plants use for photosynthesis and what happens to those chemicals after photosynthesis happens. 🌱 #STEM

Ms. Howard's social studies students worked together in groups to debate whether pieces of evidence in a text were strong or weak in their support of a claim. ⚖️


On Saturday, 6th grade band students from PGM, HMS, and LMS had their instrument kick off day. They were given instrument-specific information from guest instructors on the basics of playing their instruments. It was a great day, and they are looking forward to all the music they will make this year! 🎶 #OneLowndes #MusicEducation

Mrs. Corrales's 6th grade math students played Integer War today to review integer rules! They worked together to put their cards in order from least to greatest (incorporating positive and negative numbers) and the person who had the greatest card won the hand. ♥️♠️♦️♣️ #MathFun










Our softball team beat Valdosta Middle School 10-1 today! Way to go Vikettes!!! 🥎


Today, PGM held its Viking Envoy (Student2Student) training. Viking Envoys are a group of friendly, helpful students who are responsible for welcoming new students and showing them around The Grove. Today, they learned how to best assist our new students and created welcome bags to give them on their first day at a new school. 😊 #MissionInMotion
