Mrs. Herman’s 8th graders collaborated on a cut and paste activity to demonstrate mastery of SS8H12a&b: Maynard Jackson, Andrew Young, and Jimmy Carter's contributions to the development of Georgia in the late 20th century.
8th grade agriculture classes hosted guest speakers Tom Marrero, Ben Richardson, and Gabby Daugherty from Wakefield BioChar in Valdosta. Students learned about their company and the product biochar, which is a soil amendment and conditioner. 🌱 #AgricultureEducation #CommunityPartnerships

7th grade gifted/advanced life science classes enjoyed their field trip to Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area on Tuesday! Students used a psychrometer to measure and calculate the current humidity, performed an experiment to test the oxygen content of the water, learned about local wildlife, and more! 🐢🐊🧪 #STEM

PGM is one of many schools across the state piloting GaLEADS, the new teacher evaluation system. We are proud to announce that our very own Dr. Sarah Gatzemeier is the first professional teacher in the state to earn the entire GaLEADS Competency-based Learning Professional Teacher Series and Professional Leadership Pathway Badge. She is on course to earn the Accomplished Teacher Designation that distinguishes her as an exemplary teacher leader in the state of Georgia. Go Dr. Gatz! 😄
PGM 8th graders are having a blast on their field trip to Atlanta! Today they visited Centennial Olympic Park, toured the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, and participated in STEM activities at State Farm Arena.

Mrs. Hopkins’ 8th grade Georgia Studies students created Black History Month mini project banners! Students researched African Americans who championed equality or were impactful to society. Love was in the air on Valentine's Day as Mrs. Soldani, Mrs. Jackson, and Mrs. Herb's ELA classes cycled through the media center to "speed date" books from various genres! Students had the chance to explore new stories in a fun way, and some students even found their perfect literary match! ❤️📚
