👩🏫Sherri George - Mrs. George is a true gem in our school, always ready with a helping hand and a smile that brightens everyone's day. Her knack for making even the toughest days better with her humor and kindness is something we all appreciate. Whether it's sharing resources, offering advice, or just being there to listen, Mrs. George goes the extra mile for her fellow teachers without hesitation. As a mentor and friend, she has a way of bringing out the best in all of us, creating a positive vibe that makes our school a great place to work.

🏥Taylor Davis - Our school simply could not function without Nurse Taylor! She is the glue that keeps our students healthy, happy, and ready to learn. From healing bumps and bruises to offering kind words and encouragement, she’s a true miracle worker. Her warm smile and sweet demeanor bring comfort and care to our entire school community each day!

In the spirit of the upcoming 🎉Super Bowl LIX🏈on Sunday, Mrs. Prince's class flexed their Figurative Language muscles with a game of Figurative Language Four Corners.
Students went to a corner according to a “would you rather” style 🏈Super Bowl themed question. Each corner also had a corresponding Figurative Language question that students worked together to answer.

🦖Our 3rd-grade paleontologists are digging deep into the world of fossils! 🔍
Some classes crafted their own fossils using salt dough and Play-Doh, while others excavated dinosaur eggs with scientific tools. From tiny shells to whole dinosaurs, our young scientists unearthed amazing discoveries!
We're so proud of these budding researchers and their passion for prehistoric puzzles. Who knows? We might have some future paleontologists in our midst! 🦴🧑🔬#learningatlpe











📚Mrs. Bowen's class read about space travel this week. One of the vocabulary words was "shadow". Students learned how shadows are made, and discussed the tradition of ⛅ Groundhog's Day with a shadow predicting the next six weeks of weather. They enjoyed tracing each other's shadows with chalk. #learningatlpe

Learning about author's purpose is sweet as PIE! 🥧 2nd grade students explored a variety of book titles and descriptions, analyzing whether the author intended to Persuade, Inform, or Entertain- and explained how they knew. Our second graders have been “rockin’ into the new year!” 🎸 They kicked things off by setting goals and resolutions while celebrating how they ROCK in every part of their lives—at school, at home, with friends, and in their favorite hobbies. They even got into the groove by listening to rock music daily and dressing up like rock stars. What a fun and inspiring way to start 2025! #learningatlpe
