Miss Holbert’s class learned about Christmas around the world and read the book, The Legend of Old Befana and Italian Christmas story. They also learned about how Christmas in Italy is celebrated and got to sample many Christmas sweets and treats as well as traditional Christmas music from Italy. #learningatlpe

She is always willing to help and is a valued member of the 5th-grade team. Hayley nurtures her students' academic confidence, patiently guiding them through even the toughest problems, while her gentle encouragement creates a supportive atmosphere where students feel safe to ask questions and explore new concepts. Her kindness and dedication leave a lasting impact, inspiring a love for learning in every student she teaches. 👨‍💼 Staff Member of the Mont: Jennifer Mashburn 👩‍💼 Mrs. Mashburn is always smiling and positive. She is amazing with her kids and good about fulfilling the different needs for different students. Jennifer is always willing to help in any way she can. Second Grade students in Mrs. Cliett’s Discovery class are learning about the 12 days of Christmas. 🎄 Yesterday was the first day back and they learned about the partridge in a pear tree. Their challenge was to make a plan, use only 10 index cards and work together to build the perfect pear tree for their partridge. Our 2nd graders are getting creative with process writing! 📚✨ They not only learned how to organize their thoughts step by step but also made a delicious treat, “ Pie in a Cup” as part of the lesson. To top it off, they each made their own recipe card, showcasing their writing skills, technology skills, and creativity. It’s a fun and tasty way to bring writing to life! 🥧✏️ #learningatlpe

Mrs. Black’s class has been learning about dramas and plays and identifying their parts. Last week, everyone was assigned a different part in a Thanksgiving Feast Mystery play and then a few of the students were even brave enough to perform it in front of the class. 🦃Tommy the Turkey went missing, but don’t worry, they were able to find him and he was able to join them “at” the table and not “on” it! #learningatlpe
