As a reminder, Fall Break will be observed next week on Monday, October 12th, and Tuesday, October 13th. All schools and system offices will be closed. Wednesday, October 14th, will be a Digital Learning Day for students. Students will not report to school on Digital Learning Day. All assignments should be completed from home over Fall Break or on the assigned Digital Learning Day.
Directions and Information for Students and Parents
Student Work for Digital Learning Day:
Grades K–1: Students will not bring home a Chromebook to complete their assignments. Teachers will provide activities for these students.
Grades 2–5: May receive assignments requiring a Chromebook.
Grades 6–12: Students will use their Chromebooks that have been assigned for the school year.
Teachers may post assignments in Google Classroom or provide an offline option.
All assignments will be posted by Friday, October 9, at 3:00 p.m.
On Digital Learning Day, there are no in-person classes and no set login time.
Students can complete their work any time during Fall Break or on the Digital Learning Day.
Teachers will review expectations with students by Friday dismissal.

Assignment Time Expectations:
Grades K–2 → 1–2 hours
Grades 3–5 → 2–3 hours
Grades 6–8 → 30-45 minutes per course (connections courses may take less time)
Grades 9–12 → about 45–60 minutes per course (AP/Honors may take longer)
Tips for Student Success:
Find a quiet spot to work.
If your teacher uses Google Classroom, check each class for assignments!
