Fred DavisOur hearts are deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Fred Davis. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of those who knew and loved Mr. Davis.

Mr. Davis served both the Lowndes County and Valdosta City School Systems in numerous capacities. During his lifelong career as an educator, he served as a classroom teacher, counselor, assistant principal, and principal. While serving as principal his school was chosen as a School of Excellence and nominated as a Blue Ribbon school at the national level in 1992. Mr. Davis has served on commissions for Governor Roy Barnes and Governor Zell Miller. He was a member of the Education Reform Commission (2 Years) for Governor Roy Barnes and served on the Outcome Based Flexibility Initiative for Zell Miller in 1993. He went on to hold various directorial positions at the Valdosta City Schools Board of Education. Mr. Davis served several terms on the Lowndes County School Board for District 7. He was a member for the Georgia School Board. Mr. Davis was also a valuable advisory board member of Community Partners in Education.
