District and School Report Cards

Governors Office of Student Achievement Georgia School Grades Report
Each year the Georgia Governor's Office of Student Achievement generates a report card for each district and school in Georgia.  Districts and schools receive a letter grade based on district/school performance on measures of student achievement and school completion. The letter grades and full reports for the Lowndes County Schools District and individual schools may be found here on the GOSA Georgia School Grades Reports site.

GOSA creates full reports including the district/school single College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) score, School Climate Star Rating, Financial Efficiency Star Rating, per pupil expenditures, demographic information, and performance on a variety of academic measures with comparisons to the district and state. Those reports may be accessed by clicking on the district or school name on the webpage linked above.

LCS Enters Attendance Protocol Agreement

To reduce truancy and to provide a uniform set of procedures for addressing excessive student absences, the Lowndes County Schools and the Valdosta City Schools have entered into a protocol agreement with Judge James Council, Jr., and the Lowndes County Juvenile Court.

Excessive absences can trigger notifications, conferences, or referral to the Lowndes Drug Action Council Truancy Intervention Program. Further absences may result in referral to the Department of Children's Services, revocation of student driving privileges, referral to Juvenile Court, or possible criminal prosecution of the parent under the Georgia compulsory school attendance statute.

Please read: "Lowndes County Juvenile Court Protocol Agreement for Truancy in Schools."

Infinite Campus Mobile Portal

If you have an Android or IOS device, you can access your child's grades, schedule, and attendance information from anywhere you have an Internet connection. The Infinite Campus Mobile Portal is available in the Apple AppStore and in the Google Play Store.
Find out more from the Infinite Campus Mobile Portal Information Page. After installing the app, you will be asked for the District Name (Lowndes County) and State (Georgia). You will then use the same username and password as you use for the Infinite Campus web page to login to see your child's information. [If your app is prompting for a District ID, you are using an older version of the app and need to update.]
