Mrs. Shelly Barber, Hahira Elementary School is the GREAT Award winner for the month of January - Paraprofessional. Shelly Barber works alongside Mrs. Marti Wilson in assisting and teaching our special needs students. She has a tremendous heart and loves each and every student as if they were her very own. She is passionate about helping our students and uses education as an avenue to demonstrate love, kindness, compassion, peace, and gentleness.
Mrs. Barber goes above and beyond each and every day at HES. She is here early and stays late; often still here working after 4 or 5 o’clock. She is always smiling, always joyful, and always has a positive attitude. She exemplifies what it means to make a place better. Because she is here, our school is a better place.
Mrs. Barber is also a fantastic team player. She works tirelessly with her teacher as well as other teachers within the school. She is quick to volunteer to help with any project. She often stops by the office to share something that one of her students has created or something clever they have said. She certainly is deserving of the G.R.E.A.T. Award!
