Sarah Lee, LHS, is the May student GREAT Award winner!  Sara is an excellent student and very involved in many LHS organizations...often in leadership roles, but what makes her so special is her personality.  She always has a smile on her face.  She is pleasant to her teachers and to ALL students.  Sarah embodies each attribute of the GREAT award.  Everything she does is with a positive, enthusiastic attitude.  She willingly offers to help in any and all situations, showing responsibility to both her work and any other task where she can lend a helping hand.  Sarah does great work and frequently finishes projects early. In addition to her leadership abilities, she is also an extremely talented artist.  From decorating halls and sheets during homecoming to painting Vikings and Vikettes in bathrooms, Sarah has graciously given her time and shared her talent with the students and faculty at LHS. Sarah is often noticed in her Drawing II and AP classes giving advice, constructive criticism, and help to other students. In every piece of Sarah's work, her love and pride for her school shines through.  While Sarah's artistic ability is visible throughout the school, it is also her character, dependability, and attitude that has made her a GREAT LHS student.

Aside from school clubs and activities, Sarah was voted to be the Speaker of the House for the 72nd Georgia Youth Assembly; she also served as State Clerk for the United Nations Assembly. Sarah was selected to be the Student Ambassador for the Georgia Secretary of State program. Sarah was also chosen for the Washington Youth Tour 2016 as a Georgia EMC Delegate. Sarah was also nominated to attend Governors Honors Program for Art two years in a row!  Sarah is smart, enthusiastic, sweet, driven and extremely creative and is most deserving of the GREAT award. She has been a blessing to LHS and we will most definitely miss her but wish her all of our best as she begins her college career at UGA! Congratulations Sarah!!
